I’m Sick of this Refrigerator!
Appliances are known in the waste and recycling industry as white goods.
The term “whitegoods” was actually started by Sears and Roebuck in their early catalogs and referred to household appliances that had a white porcelain enamel exterior. Appliances include but are not limited to refrigerators, ranges, ovens, water heaters, freezers, air conditioner units, washing machines, clothes dryers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, etc.
Thankfully, appliances have been banned from being discarded in North Carolina landfills. Appliances are not difficult to recycle but they do require energy and resources to aid in their recycling. Special measures also have to be taken in order to assure that refrigerants and other items that may pose environmental dangers are handled accordingly. Junk Rescue can pick up and recycle one refrigerator from your house or hundreds of refrigerators from your warehouse and anything in between. When it comes to rescuing junk, we’ll be there with a smile!
